This week's oracle card is Fearn, or Alder. The alder tree was used to building boats and bridges because it is resistant to water damage and decay. It thrives in wetter places. Ironically, alder is not only a symbol not of water, but of fire and purification. It is a symbol of being steadfast and emotionally strong, especially in the face of great change. Just as the alder can connect us across bodies of water, water itself is something that connects all of us. Our bodies are made primarily of water. Nothing on any planet lives without water being present. We are influenced by water just as we are influenced by our emotions. In the image on the card, there are two different parts of the tree each end of the vine, and the vine itself is wound in a heart. Maybe you are stuck in some area of your life because everything around you echos your own perception. Bring those you see differences in closer to you. See beyond those differences. They are here to teach you something new, to show you another aspect of yourself.
